I seek the power of the moment; the deployment of figures, their proximity, the game of similarities and dissimilarities, the coherence and confusion generated by the montage. The theme has to be a house of cards that hides another intention. It is about the futility of trying to locate something that does not surface through our perception. This game is above all the experience of a capacity for indeterminacy, a capacity that anyone can share. It is not, then, a question of renouncing artistic representation or expression, as long as it is within the margins
of the logic of action understood as the search for certain ends through defined means. The works are built in a “narcissistic link” with the body of the other, a different body that disrupts the status quo in which individuals and things are related. All the elements have already been present in the world in any imaginable way, at least once through the digital image, extending its footprint in the artist’s archive, which uses his memories to transcribe what he believes to be worth. This process of indirect “returning” allows us to paint anything without asking per mission or negotiating with the original subject that has been photographed, because our “model” has become oblivious to what they represent in a certain way. Thus, instead of advancing with the artistic investigation in a chronological or linear way, all the pieces are developed in a horizontal framework in what could be compared to a network of rhizomes
