Paintings

I describe myself as a figurative painter who works through the resources of graphic design, photography and video. We could say that the tension between technical vision and manual execution is what has defined my work from the beginning. There is a preference for painting that leads me to an obsession with the nature of the medium and its ability to transcribe elements that come from other sources. What I seek to emulate is the way our brains take shortcuts, the experience of perceiving patterns, connections, or both in random events or seemingly meaningless data, typical of apophenia. For me it is about the mystical search for oneself through a fragmented phenomenological experience.
